Pare' Wins a State Title

Jean-Lou Pare' came into the state track and field championship meet with the 11th fastest time in the 3200m field. He pushed the pace from the gun and opened up a 70 meter lead on the field. With 600 meters remaining he was caught by Ardrey Kell's Murphy Smith. Jean Lou covered the move and kicked past Smith on the final straightaway, winning the 2021 3200m state championship with a 21 second personal best.
